AcuRite 00829 Wireless Weather Station with Forecast, Temperature, Clock, Moon Phase

When my older Acu-Rite weather station stopped working, I spend a long time shopping around before deciding on this one as a replacement. It was important to me that the weather station be battery operated, because I like to be able to move it around to different spots in the house, without having to unplug it and wait for it to reset each time. This model had everything I needed. The info on the screen includes the moon phase, indoor and outdoor humidity levels, atmospheric pressure, indoor and outdoor temperatures, time, date, low battery indicators for both the outdoor sensor and indoor display, and a connectivity indicator for the outdoor sensor. Like most digital displays, the numbers are easier to see from some angles than others. The station comes with an easiy detachable stand and also has a small slot on the back so you can wall mount it if you want to. I've had it for several months now and it's working out really well. I like it so much that I bought one for my Mother in law as a holiday gift and she loves it too. She keeps it on her side table, next to her chair. It's lightweight and easy for her to pick up to take a close look at the display, whenever she wants to. We both like to geek out on the weather and it's interesting to compare the temperature in our yards to the temps in the weather report. I would highly recommend this weather station for anyone looking for a simple, portable, medium sized unit.

I have a lesser model inside (and outside) my home. It ocurred to me that this may be helpful for our MOTOR HOME. And it IS! I can monitor humidity and temperature without running out to check.

Would Definitely buy from them AGAIN! Was a Gift and arrived in 2 days (early) Dec 23. Impressive! They had it out and shipping in the middle of the night. Gift Recipient Loves it. Packaged well. And I had a pic of it in front of their door at 11 am. Perfect! What's not to LOVE?!!!!

This unit displays things we are interested in besides temperature: humidity, dew point, weather forecast. Glad to have it.
