I cook mostly indirect especially with a charcoal designed for smoking. But you could easily cook direct on the fire for high heat sear with this product.

Some of the best charcoal on the market. Mesquite burns hot so, a little goes a long way. Not a lot of smoke when lighting, not a lot of crackle and pop, very low ash. For those that love mesquite? This is one of the best choices available. Definitely recommend.

Burn clean and there were nice size lumps with little remnants in both bags I received. Burned hot and gave my brisket good flavor.

I'm a fan of B %26B products. A small amount of the mesquite lump charcoal goes a long way. Great for jerk chicken and briskets

Bag full of ash and bits and pieces. Wear a pair of gloves or be prepared for lots of dust on your hands. Once it gets started the lumps burn fairly well.

Product is not handled properly and the lump charcoal is all broken into very small pieces. Honestly it should be a refund
