Ben's Original Ready Rice Spicy Mexican

I love hot things, like Carolina reaper level hot. So this isn't HOT to me. But it has a great flavor, and I love it with my jalapeno pepper sausages. That's the best thing about these packages. Quick to make, easy to add to other dishes to flesh them out. Works awesome for when I skillet some diced up chicken breasts with various vegetables.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure what to expect with Ben's Original Ready Rice, especially the Spicy Mexican Style flavor but I'm happy to say it was a positive experience. I made my rice on the stove top but there's also an option to do it in the microwave. Within a few minutes of heating the texture of the rice became soft, yet still with a bite. It was very easy to make! Flavor-wise there was a hint of spice that would be tolerable for the entire family. The jalapeño and chili were very much appreciated. The best part is that it wasn't salty as well which I was worried about. For its price, I'd say it's definitely worth at least a try!

We made taco salad and xhicken fajita wraps and added a bit of thos to the salad and on the side of the fajitas. What a perfect blend of heat and yum! It's got a good kick but not melt your face off hot. This rice cooks in 90 seconds in the microwave and is enough for 2 people with leftovers.
