It has many good qualities. One, it's organic two, it hasn't been refined.I have been using this product for years.I would even recommend it for people that have children that need shoot that is refined.Use this instead
I have used Florida Crystals Organic Raw Cane Sugar for several years. My breakfast is usually some type of organic fruit, topped with organic yogurt. I have a small shaker bottle I fill with this sugar, then sprinkle some on top of my "breakfast". It makes my breakfast sweet and yummy. Thanks, Walmart, for having this product available!
I've used this sugar in coffee, bread, and cookies. very good neutral sugar flavor. point of getting organic is that it is free of glyphosate which has already been proven to kill off the good bacteria in your gut. pretty significantly almost entirely, I think. because those bacteria rely on these same metabolic pathway glyphosate disrupts in plants to survive. organic products cannot have glyphosate used during their farming and they also have to use organic fertilizer such as manure. so you're getting more full spectrum of organic components added back into the soil than just phosphorus and nitrogen. the packaging is a great help and much better than a paper bag too.
I really like this sugar in every way. I use it for baking and I use it for my coffee just every day sugar stuff as well. I find it as a higher quality and it looks that way too. I'm willing to pay the higher price that it is compared to white refined sugar.
We are a family that tries to avoid ALL GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) in our food products. As a mother who bakes often, I just recently found out that most sugar is Beet Sugar, which IS a GMO product (Monsanto Roundup genetically infused into your sugar beets, anyone? Yum??). So we have made the switch to CANE sugar, such as this brand. This is a bit granular, but if you want it superfine, or even powdered, just put into a blender or processor for a few seconds until desired texture--works perfectly. The only drawback is that they do not sell this product in larger sizes, like a 10-lb. bag for bakers. Whatever brand you buy, make sure it is 100% CANE sugar...if you do not like eating GMO foods.
For me, this "regenerative" is the best-tasting sugar I've found - slightly caramel-ly, and seemingly sweeter than others (if that's possible!). I'm not fond of molasses, and the darker variety goes a little too far in that direction for me. I'd also consider what you're using it for - it's definitely not super-fine, so maybe not the best choice for fussy, rarified pastries. But otherwise? Oh, yeah!
I like that the sugar comes from Florida. I like that it's organic. I like that it hasn't been bleached. I have no idea why it's regenerative.
this sugar is more of a powdery fine crystal consistency. the taste is mild, nowhere near as sweet as other organic sugars . kinda tastes like a slightly sweetened stevia.
Have been buying this product for years, and quality is always consistent. However, Wal Mart packaging leaves much to be desired. The 12 containers of sugar were in a giant box, with some paper thrown in, no dividers. They should have been packaged tightly in a smaller box. I was amazed the sugar was not leaking out of the box.
I typically only buy one brand. This brand wasn't it. 3 lbs for 5.33 is a rip-off. The package states regenerative, yet it comes in a plastic container. So more micro plastics in our food, along with another plastic container being dumped in the ocean. But hey, your product is regenerative but clearly not packed eco-friendly. As for the taste, I won't be purchasing it again.
