Love this product and it made my WiFi extend to the rest of my home and it made things work better and faster than ever before with any other WiFi extensions, definitely recommend especially if you are in the Google home ecosystem.

Fantastic Upgrade from my previous router! Longer WiFi range and decently priced if I say so myself. I have had up to 5 devices streaming 4K video and this router can support it no problem! Easy setup above anything else and if you are like me that have a bunch of google/nest products, this purchase would be a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

Simple design. WiFi strength seems very good. Didn't realize it had Google assist as part of it but that's fun to have. Only issue is that the extender unit is the one that has a speaker and the Assist feature. Since I have that unit in the remote portion of my house to give me broad coverage, the unit isn't where I might use it frequently.

Couldn't be easier to set up. Advanced controls are still available but are not cluttering the interface. Reliably selects the optimal channel by device and signal strength. Voice control easily deactivated by a switch on the pod and verified by amber light. Assuming it's actually deactivated this is a great feature.

ANDROID point of view (not APPLE) Plug-n-play. Really can't get any easier. Small tweaks for casting music, integrating GOOGLE home activities (turn on/off lights, pre-assigned tasks that would normally require starting up phone). NO EXPERIENCE WITH APPLE so no comment there.

Ive had my share of wireless routers, to include standalones, extenders and other mesh systems. This is clearly the best one so far. Great speeds, coverage and easily administered via the Google Home app. Not cheap, but worth it. One caution: avoid having 2 NAT devices (typically other routers) in the path between your modem and your Google Nest router. Our ISP had configured our setup that way for some unknown reason and it seriously diminished our speeds until I figured it out via Google Nest web info.

It don't come with a manual or original packaging. It came in a plastic bag and was dusty and scratched.

Saw it on sale and bought it since I had an older on-hub device that went out of support. The buying process was quick and item arrived on time. However, was disappointed with the Device as I was not able to setup. Knowing Google devices, they are quick plug and play setups. However, I kept running into a “unable to connect to cloud” error during setup. Spent hours with Google support and even reached out to my internet provider to reprovision my modem but the device would not work. Looks like this is a known issue when I googled the symptoms. So I ended up returning the device and picked up a DECO router which is working flawlessly. I liked the old OnHub because of its parental controls and robust app. The DECO app has similar controls and in fact I like the DECO app better. In short, I might have gotten the luck of the draw and ended up with a bad device but it looks like the issues I faced during the Google setup is a known issue. So just be prepared to spend time troubleshooting if you run into issues. On another note: the return process was quick on the Walmart app and I dropped the Google device off at my local Walmart for a refund. Hope this helps others looking for a good router.

I purchased this Google Nest router and point as well as a new Motorola MB8600 DOCSIS 3.1 modem because my 2 year old Arris Surfboard SB 8200 was overheating and had to be reset almost every other day. In order to set it up I had to go to the Apple store and download the Google Home App. That's where the setup instructions were. Don't know what I would have done if I didn't have an smartphone with data since I had no internet at that point. Seems like an unnecessary complication. Why not just include the instructions with the router like all other routers I have ever set up? Anyway after I got it set up I found my internet download speed had dropped to 75-80 Mbps with a latency of 15-20 ms where before with my Asus AC86U I was getting between 275-450 Mbs with a latency of 10ms . I tried running Speedtest from various areas, sometimes within 5 feet of the router or point and never got better than 85Mbps. I assumed Comcast somehow reduced my speed (Extreme Pro) during the initialization process of my new modem and after spending over an hour on the phone trying to speak to someone in an offshore "Tech Support" Center and waiting for a promised callback, which I never got, I gave up and decided to re-install my old Asus AC86U. Immediately my speed was back up in the 300-400 Mbps range. I was really looking forward to the mesh system because I have other Google equipment in my home but I will be bringing this router back tomorrow and sticking with my trusty AC86U.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Insanely tech savy buyer ... and this product is HORRIBLE. It is extremely difficult to set up, does not recognize devices, there is no customer support, no instructions, nothing. Its about as bad as it gets. DO NOT BUY. Pure junk.
