This is the darkest dark chocolate I've ever seen. The label is slightly confusing because it mentions coloring and flavoring. I sincerely hope there aren't any separate colors or flavors, but it's hard to know. I decided to try the taste by making a little hot chocolate, and it's delish (wink). Price is sadly, high, but chocolate in general is twice as much as it used to be a couple of months ago. I hope prices don't go higher, but at least I'm stocked up for now.

Pricey vs Hersey product i've been buying but richer flavor, darker color

Ordered BLACK cocoa powder. Received dark brown cocoa powder. I've used black cocoa many times previously. Every other provider/vendor I've purchased it from, the cocoa powder actually appears BLACK in color. This cocoa powder is nowhere near black. It's just plain, old, everyday BROWN cocoa powder that I could've bought at any local grocery store. So thank you for nothing. I will not be a repeat customer.

Bag was intact. Opened it to take a big sniff of this wonderful baking staple and ...nope! It smelled rank. It tasted like rot too. Yes, I tasted it. Not smart, I know now. There's something not right with this bag. There is no discoloration, the powder is fine and looks fine. Tried contacting seller x2 with no response. Returning to store.

Bag of dirt? I opened the package and was shocked by it. The product was in a clear plastic bag. There was no label, no manufacturer identification or product information. It could contain dirt for all I know. Will never trust this seller again!
