For the price this can't be beat. And, I think it's very, very healthy compared to other breakfast meal options. Great source of fiber for heart health. I eat these oats every morning and there's never any quality issues. I simply use an electric kettle and add the boiling water to the oats with a lid. I'm sure the microwave or range would work just as well. They turn out fine. They are slightly chewier than instant oats. And, I generally add cinnamon and sometimes a packet of flavored instant oatmeal (apple, strawberries and cream, blueberry, maple etc.).
Every morning, have some of this with honey or if you have the money, maple syrup! Good for digestion. I like to mix it into pancakes...or you can mix it into cookies. Those oatmeal packets are practically half sugar, but you can dilute it with this and it works out well.
eating oatmeal isnt enough I add blueberries and walnuts pinch of cinnamon and decide tab of butter sugar or honey pinch of milk as you choose and enjoy ps everything is found at your Walmart store. no im not getting paid for this post maybe someday LOL PEACE GRANDPA JOHN
It seems to be a good product. I buy it because it is a healthy product. I use it when I'm making healthy snacks. I use it when I'm making a gluten-free flour works well in sauces and a good alternative for making gravy without gluten has a lot of uses grading cookies a healthy alternative to a lot of ingredients when cooking and when baking
When it comes to old fashioned oats, this is one staple where you don't have to spend extra for a name brand (Quaker Oats) unless of course it happens to be on sale and cheaper than Walmart's generic. If you were blind folded you would not know the difference:)
Started making overnight oats\milk (2to1 ) with flax %26 chia seeds, blueberries, mini choc. Chips etc. ( ? In pantry %26 or freezer) ***so easy %26 quick Also quick protein balls: 1/2 c peanut butter, 2 c- oats, 3T maple syrup/ Simple Stir %26 shape DONE—- however I usually add: of course LOL a few goodies like mini choc. Chips, blueberries Mini marshmallows… seeds, nuts, depending on what I have in pantry-shhh— maybe a shot of honey or maple syrup a healthy quick snack %26 Not too bad out of the fridge or freezer
This brand is my go-to for Old Fashioned Oatmeal. Always good. We use the microwave to prepare it - a deep bowl is easier to clean than a pot lol. Also it's fiber makes all the difference. Sometimes I add an egg on top or maybe peanut butter for protein; for now My favorite fruit is raisins but other choices are good, too.
I love this oats ! I like to use them as overnight oats and they are perfect. I even have them as cold cereal and they have a nice nutty flavor, the size and consistency of the the "flakes" is great ! I have also used them to make oat flour in the blender and they work good too. I prefer this kind over quick cook for the versatility. I don't like to cook my oats, so I can't review them as cooked for oatmeal. Not my thing.
I primarily use as a breakfast with fruit 3-4 times per week. On alternate days I would have eggs, toast and hashbrowns or ?. I also do fruit smoothie's with spinach. I'm older and need to have fiber and I have never particularly gone out of my way to eat healthy. Oatmeal adds fiber and the fruit helps with vitamins etc. from fruit.
I eat rolled oats for breakfast every day. These are more like instant than rolled oats. There is no chew factor with these even if undercooked. HEB has the same size rolled oats for the same price but they offer a little denser texture so you aren't eating a bowl of mush. If you like mushy oatmeal these are right for you. They do cook up creamy.
