So good!

Kiki November 5, 2025

This stuff is so good! We make it with some ready rice and some of the refried beans on tortillas with some guacamole and sour cream and salsa and in less than 10 minutes have a really good meal.

Isadora Is Best

Joanna July 5, 2026

I like everything about this delicious, juicy, shredded beast. It's not too salty, tender as can be, and leaves me wanting more. The pouch is easy to open and the microwave heats it without drying it out.

Not bad but be aware of the portion size.

Melinda July 11, 2026

Tastes pretty good. A little sweeter than expected, but I'm a little oversensitive to that so don't let that put you off. The texture was good especially being a shelf stable product. My only gripe was the portion size to price. I got 2 decent size portions out of the package; some of the weight is fluid. I have a package of the chicken mole which I have not tried yet, so I may keep a package of one of these around for fast emergency meals. I paid $5.88 for this so they are a little expensive for me to use on a regular basis. The Juanita's 25oz can of pork chile verde for $5.47 works out better for me to whip up a quick Mexican meal.

Bbq beef

anonymous September 23, 2025

This type of meat was convenient for a fast dinner. Only 2 minutes to heat up and with uncle Bens instant rice, it was fine. Don't worry about the package. It worked well. The sauce was spicy but not the meat. I didn't realize that and drained the sauce which made it really mild for bbq it was ok for a quick meal

first off your listing says that it's 15 oz. I didn't notice that even on the picture it shows the package is only 8.8 oz. I thought your store had given me the wrong thing but it's just that you're listing is wrong. I never would have paid almost $6 for only 8.8 oz. It needs to be fixed because that is misleading. I thought about asking for a refund but I did get the item in the picture so I didn't ask for a refund. The price is the main reason I don't recommend this

I'd love to leave 0 stars, but that's not possible when leaving a review. This is NOT even close to the quality of barbacoa I expected to come from Mexico. Barbacoa isn't supposed to have an opaque orange liquid. I purchased this as a surprise for my boyfriend, who grew up eating barbacoa. We both hated this brand and threw it away after a couple of bites each. Taco Bell is more authentically Mexican than this. I'll be making it from scratch from now on.

No flavor

Kym July 15, 2026

You hardly get any for the amount that you get it's really expensive. There was a lot of water in it, which is included in the weight of the product and there was hardly any flavor. The picture Shows all that you get without the juice that waa drain and about as much as the meat

Not 15oz pouch

Tania August 16, 2024

Product info is wrong. It's 8 ounces. And about half of that is liquid. It tastes good, but VERY expensive.
