Have been enjoying this soy sauce for the past 5 decades. Yeah, I've tried other brands, but there's a distinct flavor that LaChoy has. A tad pricey, but again, it's the flavor of this soy sauce I love on oriental foods, plus rice plates.
Used this sauce since I was a young child. I prefer la choy soy sauce over kikoman
The only soy sauce I buy.. Period !!!!
I am disappointed none of the stores are selling la choy soy sauce.what happened my fried rice and soy chicken does not taste the same with the other brands there are so many dishes I use la choy to cook with for years and white rice is not the same with out la choy
I only buy the original soy sauce...but I HATE that you changed the red cap to crap! Your new cap will stick after you use it a time or two. Since I have arthritis in my thumb I can NOT open the darn thing. I have to get a butter knife and slide it up hard to brake the cap loose. If you ask the assembly guy or girl that runs the machine to look and see if any of the old red caps are laying around on the floor. I sure could use two or three. If not I guess I'll have to go to some Asian store and find soy sauce that's got a screw on cap and not a pop up cap......It sucks!
I have love La Choy Soy Sauce and have been a faithful user for over 50 years. My complaint is with the recent change to the shaker top. It has changed from the 50+ year design of a removable screw cap with the shaker in the top of the bottle to a "one piece" shaker top and a integral flip top lid. The problem with the new design is two-fold: 1. The new top still easily screws off just like the old one and if you are unaware (as a matter of habit over 50 years) the first shake is likely to empty half the bottle on your meal! (Don't ask me how I know this...) 2. The hinge on the plastic top is easily broken, making the cap useless. Please go back to the simple, more reliable top that was so successful for over 50 years.
This has been my favorite since I can remember and I will hit 70 in February. There is no comparison to flavor! BUT can no longer find in our stores (Walmart, Dollar General, Smith's - as advertised online). Gone! I can still get the veggies, bean sprouts and dry noodles, but no soy sauce. We use it on everything!
I have used this product for as long as I can remember and love it. However the new lid is HORRENDOUS. You open it and it tries to close immediately. It's hard to keep it open and the closure looks like it is about to break. Also the way it works causes product to drip down the side of the bottle which is really inconvenient. Fix it or go back to the old lid.
The new snap lock lids just don't work well. I thought the leaky top on my first purchase was jus a fluke. Even after cleaning it off, it still leaked. Not liking the idea of consuming damaged product I just tossed into the garbage. My second purchase of the soy sauce had the same problem. It had leaked under the security wrap. I guess I'll be forced to find a substitute product.
