Pretty much as advertised. Main router is in my downstairs study, good signal throughout 1st floor of house. Extremely poor signal in upstairs bedrooms. Took about 15 minutes to get all set up and now have full strength signal throughout 2nd floor of house.
Was not too sure if it would work in driveway in my camper, but after setting up with the browser setup, I HAVE WIFI!! Works great!!
At first was skeptical, but purchased after reading some reviews I have a dead spot on the patio in my backyard very hard to get Wi-Fi signal before setting up my signal was 3.2 upload an 1.7 down load, now my upload is 85-103 an download is 85-96 very surprising an happy directions were a little confusing at first, not computer savvy but all in all got it figured out, really pleased with the extender
Really boosted our internet in rooms that were far away from the router. Our only issue was repeated attempts to set it up in a location between the router and the rooms. Where we initially wanted to plug it in would not work. Unfortunately the only location that worked for us is in the kitchen and the unit is very visible over the countertop.
It is easy to configure and install. I bought it to replace a WiFi extender which had 2500 ft coverage because I wanted the 6500 ft coverage to solve a problem of connectivity to my security camera in my pole barn. The camera has an extend outside antenna but this new extender did not give me any more reliability than the older extender. I think it is worth the price, but disappointed that it did not solve my problem. Still reasearching the situation to see if it can be improved.
There are some good points and some not so good. I does extend the range however it keeps disconnecting. It was easy to set up and connects rather quickly, then all of a sudden I will find that I have no connection. I then have to disconnect and reconnect. I still have to put up with a lot of buffering when I want to stream movies and it is annoying that the signal is lost at times. Maybe if I had checked out a few more brands I would have found another more reliable extender. It works and gets me connected. Just wish it was more reliable.
Okay quality. I got it because my wifi is weak, but this doesnt work all the time. The signal is weak (sometimes weaker than my wifi router) and sometimes it even drops fully. The other day it wouldnt even provide a signal. As I write this, it is not working. Im still debating if I should return it or keep.
Overall, it was a great purchase. I hesitated to buy the faster version due to price and wanted to try this first to make sure it would work. Setup was pretty easy, but Ive struggled to maintain a connection with the router. Moving it around has helped, but it still buffers and loses connection from time to time.
Didn't work at all. It connected the first attempt to the 2.4 WiFi, wouldn't connect to the 5.0. Then when I tried to move it, it wouldn't work. Did a factory reset and it wouldn't connect to the 2.4 or the 5.0.
The LYNKSYS RE6300 is a waste of money and more importantly, my time. I have spent 4-days attempting to get this booster to work and it will not. I have followed the directions meticulously and gone on line for help. If anyone at LINKSYS ever picked up the phone I might not have to waste more of my time to return the device to Walmart. DON't WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this useless device. P.S., I see many of these "refurbished" units for sale an imaginne they don't work correctly from the factory.
