Mainstays Black Dual Brew Coffee Maker, Single Serve, Auto Shutoff, 14 oz Reservoir

I don't drink a lot of hot coffee but this is my 2nd one of these in the past 2 years because they are also great for hot chocolate, teas, even just heating up water. I love that it comes with a closed strainer for my loose leaf teas but I can also use K-cups with it also. I honestly think it's better than the Keurig single cup coffee maker. And just for a fraction of the cost also. I love this machine. It is great for your own home and quality gifts for others as well.

I love this little coffee maker it makes coffee so fast it's almost instantly hot. plus the facts you can use regular coffee or coffee pods which is a great convenience. Plus I have to travel for work a lot and it's so compact if it's right in my suitcase.. whereas a lot of the hotels no longer have coffee makers and if they do they are not the cleanest. I would totally recommend this for home use travel or for a gift they would love it

I honestly only got this out of curiosity from the reviews. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews, they are hilarious. The reviews don’t lie, it’s actually a really good machine, easy to use, and very inexpensive. Don’t spend more money on name brand coffee makers when this one does the same for less.

Ok, so I was given one of these maybe 6 or 7 years ago and never used it because it wasn't the fu-fu name brand pod coffee maker. I rolled my eyes and tucked it away thinking I'd regift it. Well my fu-fu coffee maker that uses pods died, I didn't have the money on hand to drop $50 on another, so out of desperation I pulled out the Mainstays coffee maker. The plan was to use it until I could afford another fu-fu coffee maker, shove it back in the storage and forget it ever existed. Well honeys, let me tell y'all something, the coffee maker was definitely all that and a bag of chips! Yeah, this one doesn't have a little tank on the side to hold water, or little buttons to select how much coffee I want to brew but you know what it does have, hot coffee. With the fu-fu brand, my coffee wasn't hot by the time I added my cream. I thought it was just me, but nope. The next thing I noticed was my coffee cup wasn't as full. The fu-fu coffee maker could only do up to 10 ounces. Even then I'd looked in my cup and feel cheated because it did not look like 10 oz. So I'd hit 6oz twice but the coffee tasted like crap because the grounds were never enough to make 12oz, so I'd have to add another pod which was a waste of money. Even after doing so, it never looked like there was any coffee in my cup. The first time I made coffee in the fu-fu maker, I was expecting 10oz and got what looked like maybe 6oz. Talk about getting screwed. This Mainstays bad boy however has a basket that actually holds a lot more coffee grounds than a regular pod, so you can make a nice hearty, robust cup of hot coffee if you like it on the stronger side. If you want a 14oz cup of happiness, add 14oz of water (there is a little guide in the back that shows you the water level when you pour it into the coffee maker), sit back, relax and wait for a piping hot miracle to drain into your cup. Anyway, my first Mainstays coffee maker died and I got myself another fu-fu coffee maker (stupid me), and instantly regretted it. The thing is, these Mainstays coffee makers are so awesome that they were never in stock when I wanted one. The other day I was drinking a sorry cup of fu-fu made coffee, and as I was going through the Walmart app and noticed they had some in stock at another location, and if I wanted it, I had to wait to have it shipped. Well it came, it works and was worth the wait. I am writing this review while sipping a hot, 14oz cup of delicious coffee. Do not sleep on this coffee maker. Even my elderly mother asked me if I'm using a different brand of coffee because this coffee tastes like COFFEE. No lie, as soon as the fu-fu coffee maker is dry, it's getting tossed in the Goodwill box and I'm getting a back-up Mainstays coffee maker. The last one I had lasted about 5 or 6 years. If this one lasts that long, I'll be happy. If I could give this coffee maker a million stars I would.

I had been looking for an inexpensive single serve coffee maker for the occasional cup. I didn't want anything big because I don't like having anything on my white quartz countertops, and I really don't drink coffee that often. I also wanted a machine that was k pods compatible. This mainstays single serve coffee maker has everything I was looking for! Its footprint is small so I can store it inside a cupboard after using it, my generic coffee pods from Ollie's work perfectly, coffee is good and hot, and the price was right. Easy to fill up and to use.

If you like the taste of plastic then this is the coffee maker for you! I ran vinegar, descaler, and baking soda water and could not get the taste out. And it wasn't just a faint hint of plastic taste, it tasted like I was drinking burning plastic. Absolutely disgusting!

This pot is a complete waste of money. I got it today and it doesn’t work. It gets hot and start dripping then shuts off . It’s only give a few drops . Not I could do to make it work not kcup or Ground coffee . I wouldn’t recommend this product to nobody.

item did not work, showing same issues as reported by other 1 star reviews, machine will just release steam and not actual water. Delivery of defective items is the worst experience you can have at walmart because your money will be stuck in pending transaction limbo for 7 whole days on top of the annoying return process.

what an absolute piece of crap. it completely didn't even come with the k-pod holder, only the coffee ground cup. I tried to brew with the ground coffee and water and coffee grounds are all over the place. the fact that it didn't even come with all the pieces should have been my first clue. I've just wasted an hour trying to get this machine to work wasted I don't even know how much coffee and mess after mess

My product came. It looked like it was already used when I opened. It couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until I read the directions and realized it needed a piece that I was missing. I am missing two pieces. i'm missing both the peace that hold the K cup and the piece that you put grinds in to make it like a homemade cake cup. I am missing both of those pieces so basically I got a used returned machine that is missing two pieces. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know what is going on with my local Walmart, but I received three damaged items in my last few orders. I could tell this item was used in returned when I first opened it, and the plastic was off, but once I tried using it, the pieces were missing it was definitely used and returned.
