I have been a longstanding fan of McCormick and these Minced Onions are no exception. The flavor is pure and authentic, rich onion flavor that is just packed into each little flake. The proof alone is in the smell (which sounds weird, but they just smell fresh). The containers are super convenient, providing a shaker option or easily removing the cap to get a larger portion. These are tremendous on chicken, in meatloaf, roasted potatoes, soups, burgers or even topping your cottage cheese. These have a long shelf life and are great for adding that onion flavor if you don't happen to have the fresh/raw option on hand.
McCormick has always been a trusted name in my family's households. I have never tried the minced onions until now. I made some cheeseburger sliders, rehydrating the onions in beef broth and other seasonings. They added such a flavorful and savory component to the meal.
Easy to add to dishes when in a hurry or do not have fresh onion. Mc Cormick is a reliable spice company my family has used for decades.
McCormick® kindly gave me this Minced Onions, 2 oz for free so that I could review it. I've tried a few different brands of minced onions, but McCormick® honestly hits the spot. The flavor is clean and actually tastes like real onion, not that weird, stale taste some brands have. It mixes in well and softens nicely when I'm cooking. What I really love is the convenience. On days I don't feel like chopping onions this saves me every time. It's an easy pantry staple, lasts forever, and I end up using it way more than I expected. Would I buy it again? Definitely. I already reach for it all the time. And yes, I'd recommend it to friends and family, especially anyone who cooks a lot or just wants to make life a little easier in the kitchen.
I received this to try and give an honest review. But the brand speaks for itself. It was good sized pieces of onion in every shake. Make a good finishing touch on anything desired from soups to meats or as is for dips. Highly recommend and repeat buyer.
Thanks McCormick the free Minced Onions!" McCormick's Minced Onions are a lifesaver in my kitchen. They add great onion flavor without the hassle of chopping fresh ones — just sprinkle some into soups, sauces, or casseroles, and they taste amazing. The flakes rehydrate beautifully and give dishes that homemade taste. The container seals tightly, keeping it fresh for months. Highly recommend keeping this on hand for quick and easy cooking!
McCormick Minced Onions 2oz I've gone through plenty of brands of dried minced onions over the years, and McCormick's version is hands-down the most flavorful I've tried. A lot of other brands are bland and you end up dumping half the jar into your recipe just to taste something. Not this one, a little really does go a long way, which makes the small 2oz jar last much longer than you'd expect. The biggest win for me is skipping the whole "crying over a cutting board" routine. No peeling, no chopping, no onion tears…just scoop and go. It's genuinely convenient and surprisingly economical because you use so much less than with weaker brands. I reach for this every time a recipe calls for onion now, and several friends and family members have started buying it too after trying mine. If you cook with onion even semi-regularly, do yourself a favor and keep a jar of these McCormick minced onions in the pantry. You won't regret it! Highly recommend.
These are amazing! They are small, tasty, & rehydrate quickly! They smell just like fresh onions and make dishes taste like you actually cut one up! They blend well, we tried it in meatloaf and couldn't tell a difference. The texture is as expected and taste similar to crispy onions if you try it dry. Recommend if you hate cutting onions or don't have fresh onions on hand! My kids even asked for some dry and they hate onions!
This seasoning is a nice way to add that onion flavor to your meals without the hassle of cutting and crying over that pesky flavorful onion. The best part is I can use this minced Onion and my children dont realize that there js Onion in the food they are eating. I love the easy to use container it comes in as well, that flip top lid is very useful compared to the screw top lids.
McCormick® Minced Onions are a game-changer in my kitchen. The 2 oz jar may look small, but it holds a surprisingly generous amount of flavor. I use it in soups, stews, sauces, and even sprinkled over roasted vegetables or mixed into ground meat for burgers. The texture rehydrates beautifully during cooking, giving dishes that savory onion depth without the hassle of chopping fresh onions. What I appreciate most is the convenience—no tears, no mess, and no waste. The flavor is bold and consistent, and McCormick's quality is always reliable. The jar seals tightly to keep the contents fresh, and the label is easy to read with clear usage suggestions. Whether you're a busy home cook or just want to simplify your prep work, this is a must-have spice rack staple. Highly recommended!
