It is an excellent substitute for rum in baking recipes. The flavor is intense and requires less than cooking with rum. Perfect for my rum cake. I will no longer need to keep rum bottles in the house which is great.

I had never tried rum extract before receiving this product to review. The smell was intense, like opening a bottle of rum from the liquor store. I used it to make eggnog milkshakes and it was very delicious. A little bit does go a long way, like with vanilla, so go easy and add a small amount at a time to taste.

I love McCormick products, and this one was no different! The scent and flavor of this was very powerful, but also very nice! A tiny amount goes a LONG way and it made a perfect addition to my cinnamon rolls and pumpkin cake. Also came at the perfect time, as I've always felt Fall is the perfect baking weather.

I used it to make a cheese cake with. Super good! A little strong so I'd probably use just a tiny bit instead of the recommended, but it tasted good in it. Can't wait to see what else I can make with it!

it definitely shouldn't cost $6 for 2 oz especially when it just evaporates quickly after being opened. If I don't use that whole bottle within that month it just seems to evaporate right out of the bottle.

I received this product on exchange for my honest review. The smell was very strong and made me nauseous. I used it in my cake anyway but was unable to get past the smell even after it was baked.
