Best multipurpose coarse salt for everything from flavoring steaks to cooked foods to cleaning my cast iron pan to adding that little extra magic to your baked items! A little goes a long way! Plus it has essential minerals that your body needs , none of the fake artificial crap that your body does not! Why burn your money buying regular salt when this multipurpose salt does it all! During these times when everything is expensive, be a savvy shopper and only buy what you need.
I have used this salt for years. I have always had a positive experience with it. This box will last me for a long time. I am not one that uses a lot of salt in or on anything. I would encourage anyone to try it.
I like to use a coarse grain salt when making certain food items. Great on grilled steaks and anything else that you want to add a punch of texture too.
I needed nice coarse salt For my homemade soft pretzels and this salt worked great! The price was nice too! It poured out easy and looked and tasted fantastic on the pretzels!
Living in NE Ohio, there is no other brand of salt that we use, This Morton Coarse Kosher Salt is great for cooking. It gives a really nice flavor to food like meats and veggies. I sprinkle it and some GV olive oil on russet potatoes for baking to make the skin crunchy and in inside light and fluffy. It is also great for tenderizing meat. Just sprinkle some on your less than great cut of steak, cover and let rest in the fridge overnight. Sear your steaks to perfection and see how a tough cut east like butter.
When I cook chicken the night before I put this salt in cold water and stir good so it disolves then add the chicken to it and cover, let sit over night and next day when I am ready to cook the chicken is pretty much free of all the blood, gives a better taste, rinse the chicken again with water before cooking.
I use kosher salt to remove the water added to fresh packaged meat. Coarse salt draws out the water and any remaining blood. Salt the outside of meat liberally, place on a rack with a tray beneath to catch expelled liquid. Refrigerate overnight. Rinse and pat dry.
I'm always going to choose Morton's and I'm always going to choose kosher salt for my food, the sprinkle and taste is divine, and it's good for many uses. I like the pour holes it has a lot, and it's great for making steaks, potatoes and all kinds of food. It's price point is good enough for how much you get and it lasts a long time
I use this for my baking and cooking. Definitely versatile and can use in just about anything from baking bread to cooking a stew.
I bought kosher salt because I don't want any anti-caking chemicals. However, Morton kosher salt still lists an anti-caking chemical among its ingredients. What a disappointment. I will need to buy kosher salt from another brand that has no anti-caking chemicals
