Got this yesterday, made pancakes today. Love the taste! No need to mix with all purpose flour (as I often do with whole wheat flour). I will try baking a cake soon, and I'm confident it will taste great as well, no doubt. Glad Food to Live is selling barley flour in bulk, it makes the price reasonable compared to grocery store.

Prior to purchasing the organic barley flour from the Food to live company, I had never tried this type of baking flour before, but the past few years I have been seeking more healthier long term and sustainable good food options for myself and loved ones, and figured I would give it a try and trust the most High Yah's leading me to this company. I'm glad I did because it is fresh, delicious with a nutty flavour and very nutrient dense, which makes me glad, so clearly a good combination. I would definitely recommend this organic barley flour for making barley flat bread or you may even want to try to mix it in equal ratios with your other favorite organic baking flours for your most creative nutritious baking needs and receipes. Fresh and Healthy and great Tasting. I had read all good things about Barley but wasn't sure hw good it would taste. Organic Barley Flour from Food-to-Live tastes fresh and great. Whoever said Healthy is not Tasty.....please try this

This bag (1 pound) is just the right size for a loaf or two, more if combined with other flours. (This) Barley flour has a coarser texture than wheat flour. The flour is not hard to work, though, and it makes good bread, giving a "nuttier," heartier taste to the bread. I have used barley flour both for leavened bread and unleavened flatbread.
