Very happy with my percolator so far. I wanted to try and get away from plastics on the drip machines and the Presto is all stainless steel. The percolators take a little bit more work than drippers, but it shouldn't be a big deal for anyone. If you follow the instructions in the manual, you will get good coffee. Presto put a few wraparound filters in the box. I use round filters that go in the bottom of the basket and they work great. You can buy them, but I made my own from some %234 cone filters I have by cutting out a circle to the right size, doing 2 folds, and then making a small snip in the center. I get 4 filters from every single cone filter! One surprise is that Folgers Classic seems to have the right grind for a percolator and it tastes better than it does in a drip machine. So I'll be buying Folgers when I see it on sale. Don't forget to clean your machine one or twice a month. The manual says use automatic dishwasher detergent, but you can also use baking soda (1 tsp per 4 cups water) or a 50/50 water/vinegar solution. All the best!
This product Is easy to use and Work's Great for Beginners or Small Families who doesn't drink much coffee. I've been researching on Coffee percolators for a while before purchasing and was Not disappointed! I will never go back to drip machines unless the desire ever rises again but honestly, this eliminates the use of plastic which I wanted. (Plastic is unhealthy and wasteful) Ty for This product. I'm happy!
Its awesome my husband loves it. He says the coffee tastes stronger. And I love that the coffee doesnt filter through plastic. Only downside is the plug is the on off switch, so we have to remember to unplug it every time.
Since we are trying to eliminate plastic in our food products, we tried this coffee maker. What a pleasant surprise..it makes TERRIFIC coffee! When we occasionally use our Keurig the coffee doesn't taste nearly as rich or fulfilling. I'll probably give my Keurig away! It takes about 7 minutes to brew in the Presto, so a little longer than the Keurig...but so worth it! We don't even use filters, just wet strainer first with water and then add your coffee, then plug in. So easy!
This is a nice percolator and brews a good, hot cup of coffee in about 6 minutes. You must use the filters if you do not want grounds in your coffee. But even using the filter, which I think fits a bit awkwardly, you'll still get a few grounds in your coffee. But overall, I feel the size is perfect for me, it pours very nicely and is not too heavy.
It keeps coffee hot until serving time. The only think I don't like is that the top lid doesn't stay snug and leaks when pouring coffee. It's just for me so I just pour it over the sink to avoid clean ups.
Bought feb.2026 with prolong 2 years warranty , had to return 3days later coffee not all brewed , cheap material lid v.difficult to removed basket hole too small
This was very disappointing the coffee maker that's grinds get all in your coffee and the taste of the coffee is terrible. I bought $20 coffee beans high end in the percolator just did overall terrible. I wish I could return it, but don't know how to do so because I bought it online and there was no return sticker with it.
Certainly! Here's a more polished version of your review: The basket is not a standard percolator size, which can be inconvenient. However, the bigger issue is that it leaks when pouring, even with the lid secured as tightly as possible. In fact, the lid is so tight it's difficult to remove—yet it still doesn't prevent leaks. Disappointing design flaw.
I wasn't satisfied with the pot because the top is too hard to remove. It would be hard to keep clean. Also I received an extra identical pot and found out they aren't returnable.
