I feel good about taking this for my chronic insomnia. It's generally safe and very effective! Don't take it unless you're going to bed right away though because it will take effect within an hour or less. Also if you're taking medication you may want to talk to your prescriber first. One thing I really like is that you only have to take one capsule because it's concentrated. I also take this if I awake 4-5 hours later and have difficulty getting back to sleep. Walmart is the least expensive place I have found to purchase it as well.

I have been taking one pill each night about 30 to 40 minutes before I go to bed to help me sleep. It has worked very well in that I only get up once during the night to go to the bathroom. I take water pills/high blood pressure and had been waking up two or three times to go to the bathroom but it stopped with this vitamin pill. I am a senior female and have trouble sleeping all night with night cramps, leg cramps and feet problems. I have tried many different solutions but found this vitamin root to be of great help and very satisfactory. I will continue to take this as I have not had any side effects or anything and I only take one every night. I would highly recommend this product.

This is my favorite one. I use it to relax my brain during the day when I've become extremely agitated by someone or something. Bc it does relax the body for sleep also, I take this lesser dose in the daytime if I need to. All I know is that within 30 minutes, I don't really care what my thankless, ungrateful teenager had to say about dinner. And I take a couple preemptive more ahead of time, knowing that he's earned himself dinner cleanup! privileges.

I'd like to circle back after a longer period of use but it seems to put me in the 'mood' to sleep. Just kind of a relaxing feel. Mind isn't wandering or racing. It also could just be coincidence so I need more time to see if it keeps putting me in that same state or it was a few weeks fluke. There aren't any downsides from what I can tell. The bottle kind of smells like wood, which I thought was funny. The capsules have no taste or aftertaste. It's smaller than my fish oil and vitamin pills so I don't have any trouble swallowing it.

Because of COVID19, I sometimes feel anxious prior to grocery shopping, and I worry about friends and family. I was surprised to feel a calmness approximately one hour after taking one capsule of this herbal supplement, that is when I really noticed I felt relaxed. The capsule is easy to swallow. It is suggested to take one capsule daily, preferably before a meal. It also says it is a sleep aid, so I did not take a capsule with a meal but took it at 9 pm, an hour prior to sleeping. I took the second night along with 5 mg Melatonin one hour before sleeping, for a restful, deep sleep. The packing says GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice Certified) and is made in the USA! It is free of sugar, starch, sodium, yeast, soy, corn, wheat, and egg.

Got the best sleep ever last night. I just received Vitamatic Valerian Root 1300 mg 240 Capsules yesterday and couldn"t wait to try the Herbal Sleep Aid. I"ve been suffering from insomnia for the last 12 months and have not been sleeping until 4am. I took one capsule around 10 pm and was asleep by 11:00. I got 5 hours of sleep for the first time in many years. The recommended dosage of one capsule didnt suit me well to get 7 hours of sleep. So the next day I took two capsules. It really worked. Take the herbal sleep aid an hour before bed and drink some water. I do still wake up during the night but no problem falling asleep or falling back asleep. Overall its a good product and I would buy it again. Forgot to say that the capsules are small and easy to swallow.

I have historically had a difficult time falling and staying asleep. Then in the morning, I am totally exhausted from not getting a good night's restful sleep. I can't recommend this product enough. After trying many remedies over the years, this is my favorite. After taking two about 30 minutes before going to bed, I am able to fall asleep and stay asleep. Plus I don't wake up with a hangover feeling, like muscle relaxers cause. I also have symptoms of restless leg syndrome, and these seem to help that also. I am totally amazed at the difference these vitamins have made in my quality of sleep and ultimately the way I feel. I always wake up after 2- 3 hours with other sleep aids, but with these, I typically get an entire night's sleep and feel well rested and refreshed in the morning!

This brand took way longer than others I have tried, before kicking in. Also mine has zero smell. Smells like absolutely nothing. Potent valerian root should smell like a tornado of feet, earth, rotting cheese, and wet animals. The good stuff should make you retch unless you hold your breath and place it waaay back on the tongue. The stinkier, the higher the quality. So I'm questioning if the valeric acid is compromised and inactive due to poor processing and handling.

I am sure it will work for most people but I have insomnia and nothing works so this was a hale Mary so try it for yourself
