Watkins Pure Peppermint Extract (Liquid), 2 fl oz

This oil is thinner than water so it is very easy to pour too much from the large bottle spout. The solution is to leave the bottle's inner seal intact and just poke a tiny hole in it using a needle or safety pin. It will squirt out under your control and you can count the seconds it is squirting. I squirt for 2 seconds to get the right amount into my mug of hot chocolate. Watkins contains alcohol and oil, the McCormicks version contains alcohol, water and oil. So guess which one is a better deal for the money. Sadly, the product is labeled as 'Non-GMO' which is an insult to our farmers because the vast majority of foods sold today do not involve the GMO breeding method, and that is never an actual ingredient anyways. The organic industry pushes these fear mongering labels to try to gain market share by deception. We can trust all farmers, not just those who offer the most questionably expensive foods.

I made homemade candies different times through out the years with my children growing up, hard and soft varieties, but then I got into making cream filled chocolates! The WATKINS EXTRACTS are strong in their tastes which makes it easier to flavor the creams; people like to know what they are eating and want to enjoy the flavors that it was meant to be. It becomes a pleasure to use a product that helps to bring the end results you are hoping for. Thank you!

For baking, the Watkins exteacts are terrific. The buttercream peppermint frosting for the 4-layer dutch chocolate cake is alternated levels w/lightly enhanced peppermint whip cream. Personally, I do not know of a better extract. Perhaps if I did...my purchase would have been their product.

Mixed it equal parts to deter spider.

The next time you get a tooth ache try this for temporary relief. It will also keep pest away. Mice and rats hate this stuff. Look it up in "Natural Pest Control Online".

I use this daily in my coffee and regularly for Baking! The Flavor is more mild than the McCormick Brand of the same item, this definitely has more of an alcohol like taste versus a Pure Peppermint taste!

This item arrived in its box but the bottle had no lid. I am sure this is an exception but it renders the product pretty much useless (I suppose I could rig up something with a rubber band and plastic wrap, but instead, I will just buy the item again in person!). (Tried to attach photo, but it wouldn't work).

Received the product completed opened and empty, made everything we ordered smell strongly of the extract for a week. Not sure how the employee that packaged it for the order missed that it was empty considering the box it came in was soaked, bloated, and ripped, but it definitely couldn't have happened during delivery.
