I use this product to add protein to my pancakes and smoothies. I also use this product to make almond/hazelnut biscotti. I store this flour/meal in the freezer to keep it fresh. Great product and highly recommend.
I love this hazelnut flour. I rarely get a hard piece, it is lovely to cook with. The flavor is also mild and quite delicious.
This makes the best chocolate cake! No kidding!!
Great stuff for my hazelnut shortbread cookies
This flour is hard to find. Tastes great in my pastry.
I used the Hazelnut Flour along with chocolate to make a wheat free cake that everyone loved and has requested that I make again. I started baking with nut flours when we found out my daughter is allergic to wheat. They are healthier and delicious. I have also tried the Almond Flour and Walnut Flour which were also excellent.
I will often alternate almond meal and hazelnut flour in my baking. I use this in many of my muffins like raspberry chocolate chip or orange financier. It is one of my favorite flavors in baking. It is a bit of a splurge, but well worth the price.
I grew up with Hazelnuts, we had them all over our property in Germany. My mom made all Christmas cookies and bake goods with hazelnuts rather than almonds or other nuts. I still have many recipes and use them often. Now I use them as a substitute in Keto friendly baking.
I've been replacing 1/4c of flour in my pancakes with the hazelnut flour. So good! My only complaint is it doesn't taste as fresh as it could. It wasn't rancid but maybe a just tiny bit stale tasting when I tried it on its own. Maybe that just happens when it gets ground up. It tasted great once mixed into a baked good and cooked. I'm going to mix a little into some carrot muffins next.
It was called hazelnut flour but it is not "powdered" enough to mix into recipes. It is finely ground hazelnuts but not finely ground enough to be used as a "flour" keto ingredient in food. It is a fair topping for food but what I would put it on is not part of a keto diet.
