Camp Chef Square Pie Iron: Perfectly Grilled Delights for Outdoor Cooking! , SSPI

It is the perfect size for individual “hobo” meals. We used this over a backyard fire and they worked perfectly. Chicken or beef tips, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and seasonings with olive oil. Perfect!!

I am happy I found this “bush pie maker”. We find the cast iron to be the best option and this one comes apart which makes it much easier to flip on to a plate.

Very nice. High quality. Great for camping and backyard fire pit. Lots of fun.

Although this pie iron does what it's supposed to, I like the Rome brand pie iron I bought recently much better. This one is smaller and seems more cheaply made than the other I own. You end up having to cut away the extra bread and the edges don't seem to seal when you use regular bread... It may be ok if you purchase the smaller square bread.

Love this tool. I did spray Pam on both sides before cooking the first one and they came out perfectly. I chose not to spray for the second one and realized that was a mistake. The pies stuck on both sides. So lesson learned for me is I will spray with Pam before each pie. Design of the tool is great and very simple to create your Hobo pies.

This is great for getting your bread golden brown! However, we used a good amount of butter

Unfortunately this item is not big enough to put bread in even though that's what it's made for. Only good if you want to cook things smaller than a piece of bread.

Do not leave this in the fire to burn clean because it will melt. Spend a few more dollars and buy a real cast iron one. I don't really like the idea of cooking over the fire with something that might melt into my food anyway. There was no option for how often I used it- so I chose once per year, otherwise I would have chosen ONCE.
