The Char Broil cast iron smoker box is a great addition with my Saber 500 S/S BBQ. I use many different wood chips, depending on the type of meat, fish, or veggies I am grilling. Doesn't over kill food, with too much smoke flavor. Infrared grilling is the way to go. Very pleased with my 5 year's use of the Saber Grill, by Char-Broil. Les

gift to my brother
I have a number of charbroil products; big red infrared grill and a smart smoker. Today is Super Bowl Sunday and I a smoking some country ribs...YES BABY!

Great smoker!
My Char-Broil smoker is really performing perfectly. It is a heavy duty cast iron and is very sturdy. I am sure it will last me al lifetime.

Perfect addition for your smoker!
I highly recommend this item. I bought a new smoker and gave a neighbor the old one (including the box) so they could begin smoking their own meat. Thus, the reason that I had to buy another one. I'm quite certain that it will last beyond my lifetime.

Traial and error to find right balanxe
Have only used once, still on learning curve. Read about soaking versus dry wood, tried soaking. Never really smoked much so we will try dry next time. However even without much smoke it still gave some flavor to the beef roast. We used cherry and you could both smell and taste it.
