Durability of Food Slicer

Renee82 June 24, 2026

Excellent value for the price. Slicer is easy to use and has safety guards to protect consumers. The product could use better grippers on the bottom to help with more surfaces. Overall, I would recommend this product as an efficient, reliable product.

FANTASTIC BUY

Bayview August 3, 2018

Needed a slicer for turkey breast and eye of round roasts. Family is fond of sandwiches. I wasn't sure if this product was going to satisfy our needs since I wasn't looking for a commercial slicer just one to use once every week or so. Well, it is one of the best purchases we've ever made. Not only easy to use but relatively easy to clean. Haven't had any problems using it on beef eye of round roasts and turkey breasts. Being able to slice the meat into desired thin portions that can be layered on toasted sandwich rolls my family likes them better than restaurant sandwiches. If you're looking for a casual appliance to compliment your kitchen tools I'd highly recommend this product. Great value for the price.

Amazing value!

Suzie U July 11, 2018

This is a great value for the money, it slices so thin! I used to work in a deli years ago and I can honestly say this works as good as the industrial slicer I used then!

Easy to use

Gymma60 August 3, 2018

Bought my slicer a couple months ago to help with the slicing of beef for jerky! Wish I had bought it years ago! Was quick and easy to assemble and use...clean up was pretty easy too! So glad I invested in this new "kitchen gadget"!!

Just what we needed

S4mmy2u January 29, 2026

Size good for our small counter space. Does not slide, sets firm on counter while in use. Easy to assemble; clean and reassemble. Cuts great. Adjuster knob readily accessible & moves easily to cut various sizes. Have had no issues. Very pleased.

Comments on Kitchen Pro Food Slicer

RobWillie April 17, 2018

I have a problem slicing meatloaf thin enough for use on sandwiches with a knife and cutting board. Using this slicer, I was able to slice the last meatloaf thin enough. Also, we had a store with a butcher who could slice sirloin butt thin enough to use for steak sandwiches; however, he retired and we have been unable to find one who could slice properly. I was able to purchase a roast and slice it properly.

Does the job but...

Anonymous July 19, 2026

Does the job, but the carriage and the part that pushes the food against the blade are lightweight plastic. I had hoped it would be a little bit sturdier.

We have had our slicer about 4 months. We use it to slice turkey and ham for sandwiches. The only complaint, which is with any of these slicers no matter what brand, is cleaning them. Using them is simple, cleaning them is a challenge.

Good but does not live up to the brands name

adw770 June 20, 2026

Good but not that good. I expected a better belt, easy to clean, slicer. This unit is mainly plastic and does not come apart, except for the cutting blade and the layer that you put the meat on the slice. A previous slicer I had came fully apart, so it was very easy to clean because this one doesn't it makes it where you have fine debris caught in little spaces that you can't get to without some kind of a cleaning brush. I would return it if I could, but the company I bought it through only had a short return. Which is already expired. Another issue I found is that the thickness that you set changes as you push the product against the blade so I've learned that I have to hold the adjustments lever while I cut. Cuisinart has always been a reputable brand, but this is not something I would recommend.

Cheaply built and Flimsy

Josh Torgy July 21, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas gift to help with my DIY meat processing. The first time I used it, I quickly realized it wasn't going to be precise, wasn't going to last long and was built very cheaply. The backplate of the slicer won't hold at a certain thickness and is so flimsy I was having to hold it in place with one hand to attempt to get a consistent thickness. The gears and drive on the machine are plastic. I don't expect them to last very long. Some components are removable making them easy to clean but for the most part it's difficult to clean. I'm very disappointed with this slicer, which is unfortunate because we own a lot of other Cuisinart products that we love.
