Great Value Organic Naturally Refined Coconut Oil, 56 fl oz

I use coconut oil in cooking/baking and really love the Great Value brand. I've tried more expensive ones, but there's really no difference (except the price tag!). I consider myself pretty health conscious, and this is my go-to brand of coconut oil for all my baking/cooking needs.

We use this coconut oil all the time. It is the kind that does not taste like coconuts, in case anyone is unsure. It is great to cook and bake with. Subbing it into baked goods in place of vegetable oil is healthier.(and it keeps baked goods moister). I use half butter half coconut oil for my pie crusts too. Delicious! This coconut oil lasts a long time and the price is great! Always melts easily and works great for frying eggs, meat, veggies, pretty much anything.

We LOVE this oil!!! It tastes exactly like a fresh coconut, very creamy and delicious! My cats and dogs love it too. We use it as a dietary supplement, oil pulling, skin oil, hand cream, face moisturizer, lip balm, inside the ears (castor oil is good here too), I've even applied it to eye lids (I'm not a dr so check that this is safe). I've used it in baking, but whatever you cook with it, even cakes, will have a coconut flavor. I didn't think it would matter in brownies I recently made, but my grandkids didn't like their brownies to be so coconutty. I usually buy the refined for cooking but was out the day I baked brownies.

I love this coconut oil, it doesn't have a smell hardly at all. I use it for my dog when her skin is dry, I use it for my own chapstick, it can be used for cooking etc. it's got a good shelf life, just make sure you use clean utensils to get it out because contamination can make it go bad.

I purchased this right after the holidays when I realized many of my holiday recipes called for unhealthy ingredients. I discovered by simply replacing cooking oils with refined coconut oil made it more healthy food/desserts. Looking forward to implementing this in all my dishes/desserts in 2026.

Be forewarned. Coconut oil is a semisolid at room temperature, not a liquid like seed oil. Unlike seed oils which are inherently detrimental to your health, coconut oil is much better. The taste might take a little bit getting used to, but it isn't too bad. Personally, I prefer the flavor. I don't have to heat it up as high when deep frying catfish. I also use it for stove top popcorn.

This economy size was not worth the lack of taste %26 quality that the regular size had. The economy size had a greasy lard quality, unlike the coconutty substance in the regular size. I even use a long handle spoon to get to the bottom in case it settled there. Not so. I was dissapointed. I expected and wanted the coconut flavor that enhances the favor I cook with it.

It's sad that something so little costs well over $13 but if you go to sam's or costcos, you can get a way bigger container priced way better.. But, forthe time being when in need you can get it almost immediately.. This is great for cooking homemade pita.ChipsNoah doesn't have a heavy coconut taste, but if you're dealing with high blood pressure, you might want to reconsider something like avocado oil.Because when utilizing this, it can spike your blood sugar.. I also utilize this for skin care and scalp care.. You can even use this stuff on your animals after giving them a bath.You can utilize coconut oil for so many amazing things.But it's still way overpriced

Driver for whatever reason didn't deliver it to my door. Seriously I ordered this shipped not delivered from a store. It got stolen because he left it an area he shouldn't have left it in. THERE IS LITERALLY A SIGN TELLING PEOPLE TO NOT LEAVE PACKAGES ON TABLES. AND THEY MUST BE IN LOCKERS. Considering he's not an actual UPS, FEDEX etc person who has access to put things in the lockers he shouldn't have even REMOTELY did that ever.

Description EXPLICITLY says "Cold pressed"; jar says "expeller pressed"... Expeller pressing removes all of the coconut aroma %26 flavor. I'd already used a bunch in recipes %26 cooking when I realized the problem with it. It's perfecly fine if you're looking for something without the coconut flavor or smell, good price, but that's at all not what I thought I was getting.
