Great Value Pecan Halves, 8 oz

These are quality and delicious pecans with none having that old stale taste that you can get from other vendors from their packaged pecans. This tells me that these pecans don't stay on the shelf long from people purchasing them. I've tried a couple other vendors, and I won't go back to them. Walmart is my number one store for buying packaged pecans now.

Truly, a great value, price, wise, and quality. They were absolutely pecan halves, no broken pieces similar in size, and fresh to the taste with a very nice texture. I like to serve them as an hors d'oeuvre after having warmed them and butter with a little salt and then cooling them down. They're great in any recipe and are by far the best price anywhere.

The only difference between these nuts and national brand name nuts is the price. The pieces are good sized and easy to eat or use in pie. I learned that pecans are toxic to dogs, but I have dogs and love pecans. So I got these pecan halves to eat since they are bigger pieces and if I drop one I am not trying to clean up tiny pieces. Even when dropped most of the time the pieces didn't break, and I was able to pick it up whole with my reacher-grabber tool. So get these rather than the pieces, and don't worry about paying more, the other nuts aren't better, they're just more expensive.

In terms of substitutions I would prefer if you would use an item comparable in quantity as well as quality. You substituted Bounty napkins for the Walmart brand. It was the same price and I needed napkins so I accepted it but quantity was less than half for the item ordered.

I bought these to put in homemade chocolates and i did. Not realize they were both smoked and salted so I opened the package and that was the death of me. I ate half of them. So i decided to buy several packages more and put them in a chocolate/nut mix instead of putting them into the chocolates. What a great product.

I tried these for my Christmas baking this year because when you bake as much as I do you already over spend so every penny saved counts. I was not disappointed. They weren't as good as my special order from the orchard in Georgia but for the price I was actually surprised. They were nice sized halves. They were fresh and crisp. Flavor was good, just enough salt. I would use again.

I ordered two 32oz bags of pecan halves, which totaled 4 lbs of pecans. What I got was 1 - 32 oz bags and 2-8oz bags which totaled 3 lbs of pecans. I needed 4 lbs. if you were going to substitute you could have at least substituted the full amount needed.

Well first of all I would never rate Wally -World 1* unless it's a hello to inform them I never received this item in my order but yet I'm being asked to review. Go figure that one Wally -World It Has Thrown a Monkey wrench in my cooking plans,finances since I got to wait for a refund for a item that I never received Day Before Thanksgiving. At least Someone In Wally -World Happy Holidays Season of Giving and at the same time taketh. Not Cool. I could only dream of Blessing to my account with 1000.00 dollars shopping sprees to make All my holidays come true as a members customer. Show the appreciation. Runaround refund.

I have purchased this many times, always good. The last two times have been terrible... dry, poor taste... i did not finish the previous bag, I won't finish these either. I purchased again thinking it was just a bad batch. I will not purchase these again for quite a while. I will search for an alternate source.

the pecans were supposed to be whole pecans and there were very few hole ones in the bag. they were also very small very small and they tasted very old and dry. would not recommend this brand of pecans to anyone I threw them away. I bought them for baking my holiday candies and cookies didn't taste them until I had already mixed them in the candy and it ruined the candy I was making. and we all know that chocolate is very expensive now and we cannot afford to ruin it. Walmart really let me down this holiday season 4 my holiday baking.
