This ham is the ONLY ham that we will buy for Thanksgiving. In the past when stock was unavailable I had to find it at other stores just to keep our tradition going. Easy cooking instructions and of course we add brown sugar and pineapple to ours to cook for even more flavor. All 7 of my kiddos enjoy this ham and request it at Thanksgiving. Our family uses it for ham sandwiches the day after Thanksgiving IF there is any left.
These fine canned hams are wonderful. Fully cooked they can be enjoyed sliced cold or oven heated, making them a versatile choice. The ham is of good quality and is very tasty. To be candid, they are far better than most of the higher priced smoked brands we're usually stuck with. They earn my highest recommendation. You simply can't go wrong with these.
Absolutely love these hams. I try to keep 1 on hand at all times. Very easy to prepare %26 can do alot with them- dress it up by baking with pineapple %26 brown sugar mix or just heat up %26 cut for sandwiches. Great if you have unexpected guest stop by.
I baked this ham for my husband and I for Christmas this was tender and so juicy. There were no grizzles in the ham like usual. I googled several recipes added what ingredients from those I wanted and the ham was delicious this is why you should try it.
This is the best stuff for whenever. When I was in college, I would pick up a loaf a bread, some mustard, a head of lettuce and a can of Hormel Ham. It always is good and easy to slice. I can make so many sandwiches out of this can. Definitely my go to whether I am broke or just too busy to cook. I am now in my 60's and am still making those sandwiches. I slice the whole ham up and freeze 1/2 of it for a week or 2. Just the best when you need it to be.
This is a real HUNK of ham. Not bits and pieces. I love to thin slice half of it for sandwiches and the other half, I dice up into really small cubes for ham and cheese omelet. It freezes well too if you can't eat it all at once. I put wax paper between the thin slices and put the diced pieces into a freezer bag. Great quality every time.

I wanted a canned ham for Christmas this year. It brought back wonderful memories of my childhood. I was not wrong in remembering how delicious these hams are and they are so easy to prepare because they are pre-cooked. All you have to do is heat it in the oven. Put a little brown sugar on the top with water and that's about all you have to do. I made one for us and also one for my neighbor. We enjoyed it for several meals and it is delicious. Just lightly fried in a pan for breakfast meat.
it has ben a ritual in our home to ALWAYS AlWAYS have a hormel canned ham in the fridge incase we lose our power or there is a storm. it can be sliced and enjoyed right out of the can it is fully cooked and great for sandwiches or just cubed and popped in your mouth. we love ours with miracle whip. it has saved us during a storm quite a few times. all i can seem to get now is the 3 pounder. but i feel like we used to get a 5 pounder. either way they are very yummy. they are definitely a staple in our fridge.
We had enjoyed a boiled ham dinner in a slow cooker whose ingredients included this rolled packaged ham, potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, and broth. I am unable to get the roll which was packaged in orange plastic anymore. Perhaps they no longer make it. I have looked for a substitute with no luck but thought of trying a canned ham as a suitable replacement. Although not an exact copy, we find it delicious and acceptable so my husband can once again have his favorite meal.
