wonderful,heavy duty cast iron pan w even allover heat,i leave mine on the stove all the time however, i had to switch sides of the stove as the side where the oven heat comes out creates alil moisture and rusts the pan,otherwise cant wait to get more lodge cookware

This product is well worth the money spent! This is our first attempt with indoor grilling; and we are very happy with the purchase. The product is very well made, and gives an excellent performance, especially if you're new to the indoor grilling process. WARNING; it is quite heavy so be careful when handling.

I love pancakes on Sunday mornings. This griddle serves me well. With the gas flame adjusted just right, my pancakes turn out golden brown. And when I'm done with it, it cleans up easily. Being flat, it stores without taking up much space. It should be noted that being made cast iron, it's heavy, though most folks can handle it without difficulty.

This griddle covers both burners whereas the standard Lodge griddle is too short and does not do so. My only dislike is I wish it were a bit wider. I purchased this to replace a Teflon coated electric griddle and the electric griddle is wider leaving me only slightly disappointed with this one however the health benefit is totally worth it! Also great to have both smooth and seared surfaces in one cookware piece. I can use it on my cook top for pancakes or in the oven for steaks. Great value for sure. Be sure to give plenty of time to warm evenly on cook top before cooking your food.

I love this thing! My mother had one when I was growing up and I would use it a lot. Since then she got rid of it I found that out when I called her and asked if she still wanted it and would be willing to part with it haha. I almost paid double the price for this piece of cookware from the company Lodge itself before I found this wonderful bargain! This is the cheapest you'll find it anywhere on the web and it works like a dream. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in purchasing it. The day I got it, I made delicious grilled asparagus.

I purchased this for my husband who loves to cook! He uses it EVERYDAY now. It is sturdy, versatile and well worth the money spent. What made it even better is that we didn't spend a lot of money on it. One piece of advice is to rub a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of oil on the cast iron when not in use as that prolongs the life of cast iron.

Love that this is pre-seasoned and two sided. Nothing cooks like cast iron, and once you get the hang of it, maintenance is easy. Yes, it's heavy, which has is pros and cons -- the pros far outweigh the cons for me.

This cast iron griddle came seasoned and ready to use. The side provides a deep drain area for runoff. It fits two oven burners and heats up evenly all along the center. Cleans in 2 minutes by burning off and wiping or quick rinse with grill brush.

This is cast iron griddle is your Saturday morning pancake machine. Kitchen captains of yore realized that a cast iron griddle can't be beat for even, consistent cooking. Yeah sure, you could use a frying pan, but if you are willing to put up with the losing 2 of your stove burners, the volume of production and cooking ease are the benefits of using a griddle. If the pock-faced, acne-like surface puts you off, you could take an orbital sander and spend 3 hours to grind the surface smoother. The Lodge stuff is not bad compared to China-made stuff. And it's made in USA. All the marketing about "pre-seasoning" will not make the cookware non-stick. You best follow the same seasoning treatment to the Lodge cast iron as you would w/ those that are naked. Overall, w/ Walmart's price and Lodge's offering you will have a great piece of cookware.

from all the reviews i thought things would just slide off it but it seems that is not one hundred percent the case and that some sticking does occur. I have learned to put some vegetable oil before grilling chicken but whatever i did my fish was totally destroyed---stuck! So I'm sticking to burgers which are greasy and help the seasoning process. We are big family so the size was absolutely amazing to grill once and for all and not having to clean it after grilling the first batch so as to do the second batch. In relation to other cast iron grills we used in the past this definitely gets a thumbs up and probably hopefully in time it will earn my 5 stars instead of the 4. Happy grilling
