This olive oil has a very smooth Mediterranean quality taste., olive green color, a good value. The dislike is it comes in a plastic bottle. On opening I transfer to a glass bottle for freshness and storage.
What great value pricing Walmart.com has on this 51 ounce bottle of Olivari extra virgin olive oil. I had never tried this brand before, but it tastes just like the name brand olive oils I have used. I also had it shipped straight to my home in record time. Walmart has the best prices and fastest shipping.
**Pros:** 1. Amazing value for the price per ounce. 2. Authentic, peppery flavor adds richness to dishes. 3. Healthy and antioxidant-rich. 4. Emulsifies beautifully in sauces and pastas. 5. Great for sautéing and frying. 6. Inexpensive enough for everyday cooking. 7. Convenient bulk packaging. **Cons:** 1. Limited selection compared to specialty stores. 2. Packaging may not be aesthetically pleasing. 3. Some may prefer a milder flavor profile. **Discussion:** The Walmart olive oil is a staple in my kitchen for several reasons. Firstly, its exceptional value per ounce makes it a budget-friendly option without compromising on quality. The authentic, peppery flavor lends a richness to my dishes that I simply can't resist. I appreciate that it's packed with antioxidants, adding a healthy touch to every meal. Contrary to popular belief, I find that it performs well in both cooking and finishing dishes, debunking the myth that extra virgin olive oil is only meant for drizzling. Its versatility allows me to use it for sautéing, frying, and even as a finishing touch to my culinary creations. While some may argue that specialty stores offer a wider selection, I find that the Walmart olive oil meets all my needs at a fraction of the cost. The bulk packaging is convenient and ensures I always have a supply on hand. Admittedly, the packaging may not be the most visually appealing, but I often transfer it to a more decorative dispenser for a touch of elegance in my kitchen. Overall, the Walmart olive oil consistently delivers on flavor, quality, and affordability. Whether I'm using this specific item or exploring their Great Value or Star brand alternatives, I can always count on Walmart for top-notch olive oil that enhances every meal. Plus, knowing I'm saving money without sacrificing taste makes each purchase even more satisfying. **Additional Note:** I also want to mention Walmart's exceptional shipping service for this item. Almost every time I place an order, it arrives the next day, showcasing their commitment to prompt delivery. On the rare occasion it takes two days, I'm still impressed by their efficiency. Furthermore, each package arrives meticulously packaged with no signs of damage or leaks, ensuring my olive oil arrives safely and ready to use. This reliability adds to the overall positive experience of purchasing from Walmart, making it even easier to stock up on this essential kitchen staple.
Great olive oil No price gouging
For decades I bought olive oil from Spain in a large tin, but a few years ago it became unavailable. I recently have been trying other brands and have found the Olivari to be good and reasonably priced. I gave it 4 stars because the country of origin is never listed on the bottle, and the bottle is plastic.
I can't really rate this oil , because I use it for my family as it's too rich for me. IL like quantity and the prize is not too bad. Overall is not too strong in flavor and it's good for sandals dressing. Yes I like ot.
I bought this the first time because it was slightly cheaper than the Great Value brand. I found the oil turned cloudy toward the end of the bottle even though I stored it in a dark cool cabinet like I always do. I've used many brands, and that's never happened before. I figured it was a one off and bought a another bottle. The same thing happened. I won't buy this brand again. I'm spending a little more for the Great Value brand next time.
I saw a review from another customer and I agree. I just bought this item a few weeks ago for $10 something and now its $18. How is that even possible?!? The only reason I bought this stuff was because I finally found an affordable olive oil. Well thats out the window now.
Here we go again with Walmart price gauging. I literally just bought this last week for $10.46 and now it's $17.98! That's a 70% increase! What's going on Walmart?! This pricing is no better than other stores. I thought you're supposed to be the lowest price for your customers.. not.
When making purchases online for curbside, make sure the items said to be in stock are actually available! Don't assume your pick up message is correct. Also, when an online/over the phone person tells you a refund is in process it is the responsibility of the company to communicate with the consumer by mail, call, text or email to respond that it is approved or not. Your customer shouldn't have to call in 4 times over 16 days and speak to 5 different people about two separate (a refund and my Walmart cash stlll pending since November 2023) issues regarding Walmart.com orders not delivered according to delivery specifications in your profile and in the carriers files also. Cooking oil left in the direct sun for more than six hours can go rancid! Especially when requested in writing and over the phone to be put in shade at the front door. An apology isn't enough! If, your subcontracted drivers can't follow order specifications then suffer the consequences! It isn't your consumers fault! Also, make sure your warehouse people know how to insulate items against damage ‘ This was not packaged well!
