McCormick Gourmet Organic Dill Weed, 0.5 oz Bottle

We really love dill in our house and sometimes grow and dry our own. We found making our own produced some of the most flavorful dill so I was interested in comparing that with this organic store version. We used this with a red potato salad. Very flavorful! Pleasantly surprised. Would buy again when we don't have our own :)

I was surprised by the potency of this McCormick Dill. When I think of jarred spices, especially herbs, I think of dried out husks and barely there flavors. Nothing could be further from the truth with this dill. Once I unsealed the jar, I was surprised to see just how green the dill was--it looked identical in color to fresh. I gave it a quick sniff and again was surprised that I could easily smell the dill just as strong as fresh-cut dill. I added a bit to a fresh salad dressing, making an orange and dill vinaigrette, and the flavor from just a few shakes was phenomenal! I can taste the dill, and it's bright and delicious. This has become a mainstay for my cooking now, with a quick shake on pork, chicken, soup, and even over salads to add that brightness of fresh dill. I am thrilled by the quality of this jarred spice, and happy that if I cannot buy fresh, I will have a just-as-good dried version in my cupboard and available at a moment's notice. If you've used a dried dill in the past and have been disappointed, this McCormick Gourmet Organic Dill will make you a believer!

who knew Dill Weed was that good. Great on potatoes, Salmon, super great with feta and cucumbers...lol. I have always used Italian seasoning as I'm Italian - never really thought about dill weed and I cook a LOT of salmon and potatoes for living in south Louisiana. It for sure gives a different flavor profile than I am accustom to and will be using a whole lot more of it!!!

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Let me start by saying that upon opening the jar of organic dill weed, I was met with how fresh it smelled. It was like I had just gone outside and picked it fresh from the plant. I am very impressed by that. So far, I have used the organic dill weed in making a dip, added to a salad and a pasta dish. The flavor really brightened up each dish. Again, the aroma and flavor was just as good as using fresh herbs, but much more convenient. The glass jar is the perfect size and looks fancy next to my other spices. I can't wait to try this organic dill weed in other dishes.

Disclaimer, I received a sample of this for an honest review. Full disclaimer, I buy this brand and flavor separately as well. In the ideal world, I'd love a full garden of vegetables and spices. I'd have plenty, and dill would be one of the top. Ideal for yogurts, seafood, potatoes, salads, plenty more, delicious! Reality check, my small apartment with a non-existent backyard doesn't exactly allow that. Dried spices including this McCormick's Organic dill have been great. Throw it on whatever you like, I use this regularly, I'm sure you will too. Enjoy life, enjoy the flavor!

I absolutely love how much flavor this seasoning added to my home made dip I was making for veggies. I love that it's organic and non GMO. It is a perfect size and will make a great addition to my recipes. I can't wait to put this on more veggies and potatoes.

This dill brought back a lot of memories of cooking with my mom! Her favorite thing to make with dill was always homemade tomato soup, topped with plenty of dill and served with grilled cheese. This dill is flavorful, aromatic, and perfect for adding that special something. I've used it for tomato soups, as well as side dishes and salad dressings. Highly recommend!

I have used this brand before and rotate among brands depending where I am shopping as dill is one of my most used spices. The McCormick Gourmet Organic Dill Weed was fragrant and vibrant. It seemed more fresh than some of the other lower cost brands I have been using. The individual pieces of dill are a bit smaller and more delicate, they blend into a sauce a little more. This could be a pro or a con depending on your dish. Overall it seems like a higher quality dill than the private label brands. I would buy it again.
